Nutrition at Loyola School

Loyola School has partnered with Cater To You as the food service provider to create daily meals that focus on optimal nutritional impact for the community. Meals are centered on a wide variety of protein sources both animal and plant based, whole grains, legumes, dairy foods, healthy fats, and the freshest of fruits and vegetables.

Menus are developed monthly to reflect seasonal availability, holidays and the special needs of Loyola School’s community. The culinary team is led by our Chef Manager.

Cater To You takes careful measures not to prepare or serve meals that contain peanuts or tree nuts. Extensive allergy awareness training through third-party certifiers AllerTrain and ServSafe has been completed by all Chef Managers and Sous Chefs. In addition, all other CtY team members serving the Loyola School community receive annual allergy awareness instruction as part of CtY’s Back-to-School training programming.

 Breakfast Service Includes:

  • Breakfast sandwiches (roll or bagel with your selection of egg, cheese, meat

  • Fresh-baked blueberry or chocolate chip muffins

  • Bagels with butter or cream cheese

  • Yogurt parfaits with fruit and granola

  • House-made smoothies

  • Fresh fruit cups

  • Cereal with milk

  • Breakfast bars

Lunch Service Includes:

Sandwich service includes:

A weekly variety grilled to order such as crispy chicken with mozzarella and pesto; pita with grilled vegetables and goat cheese; grilled three cheese with tomato and bacon; turkey and cheddar with chipotle dressing; tomato, mozzarella and sundried tomato spread.

Daily entrée service includes:

A wide variety of nourishing meal combinations such as chicken parmesan with pasta; teriyaki flank steak with fried rice; cheese ravioli with pasta sauce; lo mein noodles with chicken and vegetables; burrito or taco with salsa, guacamole and sour cream; hamburger or cheeseburger with fries; mac and cheese with broccoli; chicken tenders with BBQ sauce or honey mustard dip.

Soup

During the colder months, we serve soup in either a cup or a bread bowl. Made fresh daily, selections may include: chicken noodle, spicy tortilla chicken, Italian wedding, broccoli cheddar, cream of mushroom, or black bean.

Housemade Pizzas

Margherita pizza is served fresh daily along with another daily specialty pizza. Selections may include: ricotta, roasted garlic, chicken; grilled vegetables, feta cheese; buffalo chicken; sausage and broccoli; pepperoni; chicken Caeser salad; Hawaiian; eggplant parmesan.

Grab and Go Items

We offer a variety of daily fresh grab-and-go foods and beverages:

  • Wraps may include: chicken Caesar, buffalo chicken, turkey cheddar with chipotle mayonnaise, grilled vegetables with roasted tofu.

  • Fruit cups depend on seasonality and may include: a fruit mix, grapes, strawberries, watermelon, pineapple, and more.

  • Housemade beverages may include: smoothies, local apple cider, lemonade, unsweetened decaf iced tea, half and half (lemonade/ iced tea), and more.
